McPhillips Street water main break expected to be repaired this weekend: city

A water main break on McPhillips Street near Logan Avenue will hopefully be repaired this weekend, the city says.
The break — which caused traffic delays, high water levels on the road, and stalled vehicles Friday morning — was being isolated by water and waste crews by the afternoon.
Until repairs are complete, a lane closure on eastbound Logan at Weston Street will remain in effect.
If you live in the area, a city spokesperson told 680 CJOB, you may see some discoloured water in the short term, and you can check to see if it’s cleared by occasionally running a cold water tap. A hot water tap isn’t recommended, as it could draw sediment into your hot water tank.
