Revanth Reddy orders Telangana officials to treat students like their own

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has issued a stern directive to district Collectors across the state, emphasising the need to treat students in government schools, hostels, and Gurukuls like their own children. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of ensuring students receive nutritious food in hygienic conditions and called for frequent inspections of these institutions to prevent any negligence.
In a series of review meetings, Revanth Reddy expressed his displeasure over the ongoing incidents regarding food supply to students, despite repeated instructions to maintain quality and hygiene. The Chief Minister warned that any officials or staff found negligent in their duties would face dismissal from service. He made it clear that the government would not tolerate any further lapses in the welfare of students.
Revanth Reddy also reminded officials that thousands of teachers had been recruited to provide quality education and that diet charges had been raised specifically to ensure that students receive nutritious food. He stressed that the government had made positive efforts for the welfare of students, but certain forces were attempting to undermine these efforts by spreading false rumors about food supply in hostels.
The Chief Minister condemned these actions, calling them deliberate attempts to create panic among parents. He ordered that strict legal action be taken against those responsible for spreading false information. “We will not hesitate to take strict action against anyone trying to defame the government or create unrest among the students and their families,” he affirmed.
